Grandparent’s Day

At Grandparent’s Day we went fishing.

Grandparents won. Some brought their lunches,

while others bought a boxed lunch. After the

“picnic”, we went outside for recess. Some

Grandparents came outside, while others stayed

and talked. Everyone got a bingo card to play Grandparents bingo. If you won you got candy. Mrs.

Hay or Mrs. Marchi gave us a joke every once in awhile. An example would be: What’s a ghost’s

favorite sandwich? Answer: Boo-logna. In the morning we went to church. Everyone had a very

good time. It was a special day that all of us will remember. By: Piper

My Grandpa walked to school when he was my age. Grandpa

was 33 when he got married to Grandma. My Grandma was

26 when she got her first car. It was a Buick. My Grandpa was

born in West Senecany in 1928. Back then a stamp cost 3

cents and a McDonalds’ hamburger cost 10 cents. On

Grandparents Day my Grandma and Grandpa had so much

fun! I love my grandparents! One day I’m going to be just like

them!

My Nini and Papa both had pets. My Papa had a parakeet and

my Nini had a dog. My Nini and Papa both liked rockn’ roll. They

were both teachers. My Nini was 21 when she got a Slugbug.

When my papa was my age he was a news paper boy. My Nini

was born in New York City in 1947, and my Papa in Ohio in

1946. I love my Nini and Papa! I love my Nini and Papa!

My Grandma was born at Grant Hospital in Columbus OHIO. My Grandpa was born at Saint

Ann’s Hospital in Columbus OHIO. They said a gallon of gas was 19 cents. A stamp was 3 cents. A

movie ticket was 25 cents. And a McDonald’s hamburger wasn’t invented yet! My Grandma’s 3rd

grade teacher was Sister Elaine. My Grandpa’s 3rd grade teacher was Sister Adams.

my grandma. My grandpa likes rock and roll and my grandma likes swing.

My grandpa likes wrestling and my grandma likes Roy Rogers. My grandpa liked cpa and my

grandma liked babysitting. Both of my grandparents had a dog. My grandpa got a nickel in allowance

and my grandma got a dime. My grandpa liked football and my grandma liked hula-hoop and jump

rope. The chores my grandparents had was trash for my grandma and dishes for my grandpa. My

grandma’s favorite subject was spelling and my grandpa’s was math. My grandma took the bus and

my grandpa walked. They were 20 when they got married. When my grandma was 20 she got a car

named Plymouth and my grandpa was 18 when he got the Olds car. My grandpa wanted to be a

musician. My grandma wanted to be a elevator person when they were my age. For advice my

grandma says work hard and have love in your heart. My grandpa says enjoy life. My grandpa’s

teacher was Mrs. White and my grandma’s was Sister Helena. THE END

farming and my grandma licked being a teacher and backer. Both of my grandparents had a dog.

There advice for me. It was be what you are. His teacher was Mrs. Clay. My grandma’s teacher was

Mrs. Schmidt. He loved all ball games. My grand ma loved playing kick the can. My grandpa had to

do all the chores and my grandma had to do the dishes. My grandpa licked history and my grandma

licked reading and writing. They both were 22 when they got married. My grandpa was 20 when he

got a car and it was a vw. My grandma was 21 when she got a car and it was a ford. They got no

allowance. My grandma did like roller skating too. My grandma took the bus and my grandpa walked

to school. My grandma wanted to be a nurse when she was my age. My grandpa wanted to be a

farmer when he was my age.

Ranger. When she was a kid she liked to swim on the Ohio. And that’s my Grandparents for you.

My grandma was born in Germany in 1940. I don’t know

where my grandpa was born but I do know what year he was

born in, he was born in 1938. My grandparents are so much

when I played with them. On grandparents day me and my

grandparents had a lot of fun. My grandma and grandpa

had 7 people in their family when they were growing up. We

had a lot of fun that day They are really fun.

When my Buna was my age she used to play with paper dolls. And she used to make mud pies. And

play hide and seek. And she had a pet dog. And she said it was cute dog. And she liked to listen to

country music. And I did not know she had to do chores. She

had to do the dishes and make butter. And her favorite subject in

school was math. She had to ride a bus to school. And I was

thinking if she had any advice for me it is to study hard in school

and to do the best you can, and to read more because you do

better in school. How many people are in your family six people.

They did not have TV. What jobs were there banking bookwork

working at a restaurant and jewelry.

My grandma was born in Fort Madison Iowa in1928.

She had 8 people in her family. 6 kids 2 parents. For fun she

played 9 steps around the house and red light green light.

That’s a game I also play. Something I think is awesome is a

gallon of gas was only 10 cents and a stamp was 1cent and

a movie ticket was 10 cents but McDonalds hamburgers

were not invented yet. The music she listened to was Oz Oz

Oyts. I think that is a funny name for a song.TV was not

invented yet. I feel bad for her. These are some chores that

she needed to do when she was my age she needed to do

the dishes, make her bed and clean up after herself. Her

favorite subject in school is the same as mine ……….MATH!!!!!!!!!!!!! The way she got to school is she

walked. She was 20 when she got her first car. She was 34 when she got married. The advice she

gave me is to keep being my sweet self and now you and me know more about my family tree.

lived with her mom, dad, aunt, and brother. For Fun mom

played with dolls. A gallon of gas cost fifty cents, a

McDonald’s hamburger cost one dollar, a stamp was fifteen

cents and a movie ticket was three dollars. Mom’s favorite

TV show was Tom and Jerry. Mom worked at Big Bear

shipping boxes. Mom had a pet dog, it’s name was really

was to take out the trash. She walked to school and her

church. We sang songs then we went back. Then we went

Ohio. My grandma was born in 1949, my papa, one

grandma’s first job was wrapping gifts. My papa’s

was cleaning dog pens. They didn’t get an

allowance. Both of them walked to school.

I learned a lot that day. My grandma’s advice was: learn something new every day and always

stay close to God. My papa’s advice was: thank God every day. We all had fun that day, but the best
