Artist’s statementWhen I first design the landscape, I planned to give the audience the idea of physi-cal and natural landscape combination. As in Singapore this view of scenery is common, but when I am in Taiwan, it is very hard to have this view. Singapore, a cos-mopolitan country, occupied by tall and strong building. Green and beautiful island, birds can be seen almost everywhere.

Artist’s statementWhen I first design the landscape, I planned to give the audience the idea of physi-cal and natural landscape combination. As in Singapore this view of scenery is common, but when I am in Taiwan, it is very hard to have this view. Singapore, a cos-mopolitan country, occupied by tall and strong building. Green and beautiful island, birds can be seen almost everywhere.

Artist’s statementThe main focus is on the character itself. This character is living in this particular island. This design depicts spring season, whereby leaves are withering. And, the place whereby this character lives known as, “A Xing Inn”.

I designing the character, and then proceed with the back and fore ground design. After which, decorate with hen and little chicks to bring more ‘life’ for this design.

AboutThe Eagle was sitting outside on his perch but in very bright mid afternoon sun. 2 hours later though clouds came over and the light dimmed dramati-cally. We went back to the Eagles and after 5 minutes this same one flew out to his closest perch, I was snapping away and after about 15 minutes one of the keepers started bringing all the birds in for the day. Every time he came to go past this Eagle would call out, I managed to get loads of head on shots and slight angle shots of this but one time and one time only he turned off to the side and I got the shot I wanted - a portrait that hints at the powerful nature of these birds but also shows off their elegance too. It made the whole day worthwhile!

AboutFor my super-impose, I have chosen a photograph of myself and an animal, monkey. Through the process of editing and designing the images, I have really learnt alot, it changes my perception of designing is boring. Initially, design to me, is meant to be, just contours, lines, and colour. Never had I thought of having the chance to ‘turn’ myself into a monkey. Fun and useful skill that I have picked up!

Logo RationaleThe logo consists of a red wine glass characterized by their rounder, wider bowl; it implies to the people that this is a bar. The round shape symbolizes purest and profound .A circle, having no beginning or end, represents infinity, eternity, wholeness and femininity.

The logo design uses pink and brown colours. Brown represents home, outdoors, comfort, endurance, and comfort. When people go to the bar, they will feel as if they have returned home. Pink represents love, romance, and excitement. The bar is filled with excitement, and it is the best place for couple to have some chats and relaxation.

PosterThis project of “poster and brochure” is done in a pair; my partner is Jocelyn, Xueru. We spent about quite sometimes to consider our theme. After which, we come into the late decision, and both of us concurred this project to be themed as the “Art Fashion”.

The main design concept is simple, and our colour of design is based on greenish-blue, dark pink, purple and yellowish-green.

Brochure (Front view)I still remember the facial expression of Mr Norman Leong, when he saw my first poster design. Now I recall, and I finally comprehend how he feels. The design was simply too complex and complicated. Maybe I am too greedy at that time, too much design that I wanted to squeeze in. However gradually, I exposed myself to more designer work. Finally, comprehend how simple design can be contributed.

Of course, there are also many advise given by Mr Norman Leong. He explained to me how design can be improved and provide us ideas. I noticed that he is very meticulous person, he looks in detailed into our design and corrected me on the alignments.

A way to express its personality such as arrogant and confident. I hope to take this platform, to express my respect to fashion.
