DAME JUDITH POTTER, DNZM, CBE
The knowledge gained through education serves you throughout your lifetime and makes you a life-long learner.
My time at EGGS gave me important experience in leadership and in working with and valuing other people and the contributions they make.

GIVING TOEPSOM GIRLS GRAMMAR SCHOOL
Your invitation to join the Epsom Girls Grammar School Legacy. The school was established through an endowment of land in 1850 and officially opened in 1917.
Your legacy, support given through your Will (often referred to as a bequest or a legacy) is a unique way of reflecting your own interests, passion and vision for Epsom Girls Grammar School's future. Your legacy will create history and ensure that young women in the next generation will have the resources to learn and grow.
Whether making your gift in memory of someone close to you, to carry on your own name in perpetuity or to be given anonymously, it is a gift with true value that will make a difference to thousands of young women every year.
Epsom Girls Grammar School is a leading New Zealand school founded on traditions of service and commitment to girls' education and focused on developing young women to become confident and resilient learners, actively contributing to their communities.
What your Legacy gift will do…As a school with a proud history and an enduring legacy in the community, together we are shaping the future of New Zealand.
Your gift will inspire young women, support learning, grow the arts and nurture champions at Epsom Girls Grammar School.

INFORMATION FOR WILLS Suggested wording for specific giftsWith the help of an advisor or solicitor you can include wording in your Will or Trust specifying a gift to family, friends or The Epsom Girls Grammar School Foundation.
The following is suggested wording for a gift of a specified cash sum or specific property:
“I give to The Epsom Girls Grammar School Foundation $ [a specific dollar amount], or [describe precisely the item of property],
free from all duties and charges, for the general purposes of The Epsom Girls Grammar School Foundation [or for the purposes of [ …….],
and; the receipt of the Secretary of The Epsom Girls Grammar School Foundation shall be sufficient discharge to my trustees for this gift and from any obligation to see to its proper application.”
If you would like to make a bequest for a specific purpose please contact the Foundation Office. Knowing what is important to you, allows us to suggest how your gift, pledged through your Will now, can help Epsom Girls Grammar School in the future.
A Gift from the residue of your EstateThe “residue” of your Estate is the pool of assets remaining once your estate’s expenses have been paid and all specific legacies have been paid or satisfied.
If you wish to leave the whole or a part of your residuary Estate to The Epsom Girls Grammar School Foundation you will need to include the appropriate wording in the residuary provisions of your Will. You will need to discuss this with your legal advisor so that the appropriate provision can be made.
