FARM (Fortville Area Resource Mission) is looking for
people interested in helping with their first Community
Caring Day Program. They need anyone who would be
willing to help for a few hours on Saturday, November
13th. Some of the jobs will be as simple as raking leaves,
cleaning out flower beds and cleaning windows there
may also be jobs that will take more skilled labor. You
could help as a family or get a group together. If you are
interested contact Stephanie Garst and she will get you
in touch with the organizers of this program. FARM is
hoping to offer more of these programs and much more
for our community. We as a parish are helping to sup-
port this ministry through the food pantry, backpack
sacks and much more. If you have an interest in helping
out more contact Stephanie and she can help you get
involved.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The annual collection for World Mission Sunday will be held on October 24, 2021. This year’s theme, “We cannot but speak about what we have seen and heard” is found in the Acts of the Apos-tles, as Peter and John declare before the Jewish leaders their faith in the Lord Jesus. Their Spirit-filled declaration is the same Spirit that compels modern missionaries to proclaim the Gospel around the world today. Pope Francis invites us, “ As Christians, we cannot keep the Lord to ourselves: the Church’s evangelizing mission finds outward fulfill-ment in the transformation of our world and in the care of crea-tion… The theme of this year’s World Mission Sunday...is a sum-mons to each of us to own and to bring to others what we bear in our hearts.” Our spiritual and financial sacrifices are joined with those from every diocese around the world to support those men and women who resolutely leave home and family to bring the Gospel to all those places and people longing for its saving message. By virtue of your Baptism, you too are called to carry out the mis-sion of Jesus, to make God’s mercy known. Your support of the annual World Mission Sunday collection recognizes your gratitude for the faith that has been shared with you, that you just can’t keep to yourself. Thank you for your contributions to the World Mission Sunday collection. Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Charles C. Thompson
Archbishop of Indianapolis
