Conceived a proposal on ‘TrackIt – The Smart Tracking System’ as part of John Deere’s TECHNO CHAMP 2015 (Shortlisted) to build a working model of a new automated system capable of reporting real time inventory status.

Developed an ‘RFID Based Tracking System’ using RFID reader and tags, RF transceivers, Arduino and LED board to display the location of a line follower bot for the technical exhibition during tech-fest ANOKHA 2014.

Submitted a paper under the title “Centralized Audio System Control using Hand Movements” for the Technical Paper Presentation Contest iNSCRIBE-2014 conducted by Bosch India after the abstract being shortlisted.

In-plant Training/ Internship

In-plant Training at Salzer Electronics, Coimbatore (5 days). Was exposed to the various aspects of a large scale Industry: Safety, Working environment, Equipment, the challenges faced and the role of an engineer.

Internship at KSB Pumps, Coimbatore (12 days). Studied the various procedures involved in the Quality Control of the Pumps and Valves manufactured and the equipments ( Control and Measurement Systems) employed in the process.

Training at HCL Career Development Centre, Chennai (2 days). Was introduced to the basic concepts of Embedded Systems and Software Platforms.

Exposure

Attended a One-day workshop on FPGA in networking organized by Amrita School of Engineering. Worked for a brief term on Haralick Texture Feature Extraction for Context based Image Retrieval. Participated in the National Symposium on Green Electronics organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore by December 2014.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Member of the organizing team for the event Technical Paper Presentation by the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, as a part of ANOKHA-2015, a national level Technical Festival held at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore. Worked as a part of the Documentation Team for ANOKHA-2014. Volunteered at social initiatives organized by Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore.

Achievements/ Awards

Was awarded for Academic Excellence during the academic year 2014-2015. Was awarded with a cash prize for being runner-ups in the event of Crack-It-Ralph sponsored by NeST Technologies organized as a part of ANOKHA 2015. Won the prize for the exhibit presented at the School level Science Exhibition 2010 conducted as a part of Silver Jubilee celebrations at SBOA, Coimbatore.
