MY SHADOW SHOOTING (DRAFT 1) ORANGE 16-02-2014

1 EXT: TREVE AVENUE – ALLEYWAY

ZOOM OUT: of the watch

The victim pleads for her life as the female whose identity is kept

withheld, holds a paring knife which is relatively small and it has

a slim blade with centre tip and straight cutting edge against the

victim’s neck.

VICTIM

What have I done now? (Crying), I promised that I would stay

clean andI kept my promise.PLEASE do not kill me, I beg, I

beg. I have changed now PLEASE

The killer walks away after killing her victim brutally and as she

walks away the diegetic sounds of her high heels overlaps the siren

of the ambulance passing by...Cut.

2 INT: BEDROOM

Again the camera zooms out of the watch and then a panning shot of

the bedroom, as the camera pans there is a movement in the room,

however the person cannot be seen but the only thing that indicates

that they are the killer is the watch…cut..

3 INT: POLICE STATION

Asynchronous sound then over the shoulder shot of the two female

having conversation. Panning shot reveals one of the female, whose

identity was kept withheld at the beginning of the film. Who is now

identified as Detective Halimo and her partner Detective Fatima, who

are talking about the case and who they think the killer is.

DETECTIVE FATIMA

This case is getting underneath my skin. You know what?

(Stands up and look at the ceiling proudly) the day we found

this fucker I would personally kill them with my own freaking

hands. (Points her index finger toward detective Halimo) and I

hope you are there to witness it.

DETECTIVE HALIMO

(Looks to her left) Let’s find this killer first. Have you

narrowed down the suspects? Because we do not want to chase a

freaking shadow forever. It is waste of time.

DETECTIVE FATIMA

Basically I have interviewed all of the suspects accepts his

relatives.

DETECTIVE HALIMO

Is that all you have got for me?

DETECTIVE FATIMA

The kid has a history, do you want me to check his files and

find all of the officers that have arrested him in the past?

DETECTIVE HALIMO

It is not necessary

As both of the detective’s continue to discuss about the case, the

phone rings and detective Fatima looks at the phone with concern

face and picks up the phone.

DETECTIVE FATIMA

Detective Fatima Gaas speaking, what have you got for me?

(Puts the phone down) there has been a homicide in treve

avenue, we have to go?
