Visit of Dresden with Prof Lubos Hes
Prof Lubos Hes had to lecture. He offered me to travel with him. I was lucky. We got a
fast train from Liberec and reached Dresden University Dresden.
After WWII, Dresden remained main part of Eastern Germany. There was no big
development till 1990. However, after unification, there is a tremendous growth in the
city. We could not visit the city and just had an areal view from train. Nevertheless,
train station tells the story of its glory. After getting off from the train, we walked
towards university. It was lunchtime, we had a quick lunch at university Caf and after
than Prof Lubos Hes delivered lecture. I was also present in classroom. Every time, I
listen lecture of Prof Lubos Hes, I get new knowledge. He has a very vast knowledge
and very keen to deliver.
There were very few students in class; I met one person from Pakistan. The act of
university, calling for one lecture a full professor for only few students is quite
impressive. It shows that cost is a secondary issue whereas teaching is first matter.
In the evening, we got again fast train and came to Liberec. During travelling, Prof
Lubos Hes taught me many things, which ultimately helped me a lot.

My Final Exam
As I have written that my area of research was clothing comfort. Our objective was to
develop a new kind of denim, which should keep body warm and dry along with some
contribution in the world of academics.
We used different kinds of weaves, fibres and application of various types of finishes to
develop 180 kinds of denims. It was a great project and took lot of time and efforts. We
did more than 3000 tests of these denims and collected around 100,000 values. After
doing a deep statistical analysis we identified the best one.
The second part of the objective was to develop a model able to predict thermal
resistance of fabric made by using different kinds of fibres under dynamic wet
conditions. It was something new and I did not have any acquaintance with this field.
I started from beginning and finally we developed a model, which was acceptable and
had high agreement with actual values.
After passing my four exams, I was allowed to present my research work before seven
professors. This exam is called state exam. This exam is of comprehensive nature.
People present in jury had different background. This exam was held on Nov 21, 2011.
I passed this exam with full votes. Jury did not ask for any addition in work. Every one
was satisfied with the work. Prof Sayed Ibrahim sent me mail after exam and told that I
should be proud on my original work. I am much thankful to God for his countless
blessings.
After passing exam, I was allowed to submit my thesis. Before that I wrote a research
paper on my model. I showed it to Prof Militky. He planed to improve it and took many
days. He did lot of changes and made a paper for a journal. However, he allowed me to
proceed with my original work.
I wrote my final report and showed to my both supervisors. I got their intellectual input
and finally submit in the end of Feb 2012. Meanwhile, we had our new department
secretary. Ms. Daniela Brzezinova. She had very kind nature and always ready to help
and support. I much obliged.

May 26, Rehan and me visited house of Larisa, my mentor in university. She took us
and offered tea and drinks. We met her partner. Her house was in a village and it was a
beautiful place. After spending sometime with her, she dropped us in hostel, where,
Rehan and Zameer were living. In the evening, they planned to have a dinner in city
centre. After having a dinner at Nepali restaurant, we went to Horcove. Our plan was to
take luggage from hostel and stay night with Rehan. We called Prof Sayed Ibrahim, he
said that I am coming and will take your luggage.
Prof Sayed Ibrahim came around 9 PM, we spent good time with him. He took all of us
and dropped in hostel. We said goodbye and greeted each other. Due to my health,
Rehan decided to go with me to airport. This was his great kindness. Next day, morning
we took tram, then bus then tram, then bus and finally reached at Prague airport.
I was happy and obliged to many people who gave lot of support during this period.
After saying many thanks to God, I entered plane having degree in my bag. I have a
tight grip on my bagbecause my PhD degree was in it.
I would say that this part of my life was very useful, productive and full of efforts, for
that I am highly thankful to God. I believe that my job is to work hard, results depends
upon HISAlmighty Allah.
