Prologue

EricaThis was the day, the day I decided to quit my job as an office assistant and chase my dream and become a fashion designer. It’s true I had forgotten about my dream, when I saw how much I would earn in that company as an assistant. But now my dream came back knocking on my door hard. Actually it hit my television hard. Dream Fashion, was being bought by Mercer Inc., a company that seemed to thrive in everything it got involved in. On the other hand, Dream Fashion was successful but its reputation was ruined, when many scandals came to the light, some were of embezzlement, and some others were for sexual harassment between coworkers, this led Dream Fashion House, to lose any credibility it had, even though it used to be one of the leading houses in L.A.! Mercer Inc. announced that Dream Fashion was no more, they would recreate a new fashion house, and they would fire everyone in there. I know it’s cruel, but what can one do? The CEO of Mercer Inc. Miranda Mercer announced that they would also accept applications from talented designers, and the best would be chosen to work with them. So yeah my dream was built on the firing of so many people, but it wasn’t like I fired them, I was merely taking advantage of a bad situation. That’s was it for me, so yes, today it was the day I chose to quit, because even if Mercer Inc. wouldn’t hire me, I would chase my dream to any fashion house out there.
