India is a country of contrasts

I was in India three times

Twice I was in Goa.

Goa is one of the states in India

and a beach resort.

But this place is not the real India. The third time I travelled to the Golden triangle (Delhi, Jaipur, Agra)

and then I visited a small village Kadjurahi

and Varanasi.

Culture and Religion

Official religion is pagan Hinduism. It has around 300 million gods. But a huge number of gods can identify about 13 well-known and most revered gods is Rama, the elephant-headed half-man Gonesh (god of wisdom), Krishna (God breadwinner and fertility), four-faced Brahma, Surya (the sun god), Durga, Shiva and etc.

This list the main gods and creators of humanity considered Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu. Another feature of the Indian culture are castes.

In modern India caste is almost forgotten,But before the English colonization of India caste had a very important role in the life of the country Share caste something like this:

the Brahmans(elite, scientists and priests),Stariy(warriors), Vaishyas(traders and artisans), Shudras(attendance) and the lowest caste is untouchables.

They can not go to the hospital and other public places. Live in the darkest corners of any city and do all the dirty work.

Delhi is the capital of India The first two days I spent in New Delhi, the

capital of India. City is not very interesting. No has its own characteristics.

First we visited the huge Lotus Temple. Lotus Temple looks from the outside like a lotus flower. The church preached one of the young-Bahaismreligions. This religion preaches the one God who has no substance.

Then we visited the minaret of Qutab Minar. Once it was a huge Mughal palace , but now there is solid ruiny. On top the entrance was closed because of a fact that many people have used this place for suicide. Also we saw a group of the presidential palace, the arch of victory and how to call it alley embassies. A very interesting fact in Indian cities have no concept of "street" and "square". I never learned how to share places in India and then we went on the bus to Jaipur.

There is one very big remark, especially in the cities near the roads are very very noisy, you can not walk normally.

Djaipur

The next day we went to the fort Amber.Fort was also one of the Sultan 's palace . Fort stands on a very high hill , so we got up to the fort on elephant and jeep . We examined in detail the palace, lounges, area , altars and so on. Then we went to the city center which is called the " pink city " . . In 1876 the Prince of Wales visited Djaipur (the future King Edward the VII). He loved the pink colour . And the decided to paint the town pink. Before leaving Djaipur, we visited the temple Gataji. The temple consists of threswimming pools, the main god of this temple is the god of the sun and Hanuman (monkey god). This place is teeming with small monkeys. In India, monkeys are considered sacred, and killing monkeys punishable as killing a person.

Agra After we waited Agra.No Jaipur on the way we

visited the semi-ghost town. City called Fatehpur, once it was the capital, but now it's a small town. The city is famous for its large palace in which he lived himself Emperor Akbar the Great. Sultan notorious that he conquered the whole of India and established the Mughal Empire. The palace is quite large, managed to explore grief, winter and summer pavilions, rest rooms, sanctuary. Then we visited the tomb of the Prophet SalimChangsha. He famously predicted that Akbar

Arriving in Agra , we visited the tomb of Akbar and then went to see the Taj Mahal. It is a popular symbol of India and is also considered a mosque and tomb. This marble marvel built Shah Jahan to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. She was the wife of the 14th , but the Shah loved her more than others, and when she died in childbirth , distraught Jahan ordered the construction of the mausoleum. The complex is surrounded by a wall with a large gate. Courtyard of a huge garden with a large fountain itself mausoleum is located by the river. It is surrounded by four minarets and next are two mosques . The mausoleum was built exactly 22. Then we visited the huge red fort. Officially, this is a military base , but there are places for tourists. It was there that spent all the remaining

Varanasi

Arriving in Varens, bringing as baggages we went to "Buddhist Mecca". Place called Sarnath. It attracts Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world. Village consists of two zones the new and old. New we were not able to visit. The only thing that I've seen is a huge statue of Buddha. And here we have the old part with a group of very well reviewed. Once there was a huge temple, but it was destroyed by the Mughal Islamists and now there remains solid. So the only thing left is a huge round tower Dhamek. It should go around and meditate. Then toured the city by bus. Varens himself terribly dirty, cramped, poor and noisy city. The center consists of buildings in the period of British colonization. Bicycle taxi in the evening we reached the banks of the holy river Ganges. On reaching the river, was surprisingly large crowd. It turns out there was a religious festival in honor of Lord Krishna, as it is on the Ganges Krishna was born. It was close teotralnym be primarily performance. By the smell was everywhere celebratory meal. Then in the morning we distributed on hotels. At 4:00 am, we went on foot to the river and take a boat ride on the Ganges. The sky was clear and the dawn of a "Indian". Then traveled by bus to the airport and first flew back to Delhi and then waiting a few hours of the terminal, I with Mom and Dad flew to Moscow. This concludes our journey through India ends.
