Portrush and Coleraine were the main areas chosen to hold a potential urban sports facility.

Portrush was the most preferable, which was unsurprising; the majority of skateboarders use this area already.

Urban Sportssite.

The Dunluce Centre…has good parking and other amenities available.
The Dunluce Centre…at an ideal location for attracting tourists and locals.
The Dunluce Centre…won’t displace other attractions.
The Dunluce Centre…is not too exposed to the elements.
The Dunluce Centre…compliments the existing leisure facilities.

This is an ideal funding opportunity as the BLF offer technical support as well as the initial funding.If our project doesn’t happen to qualify for funding, they will still assist in the development plan and feasibility study.

Rubbish is the main risk; skaters will be educated to take responsibility for these issues and as can the placing of spectator seating.
