MyAirForceBenefits is the Air Force’s response to the 2006 and 2010 NDAAs, which prescribe a readily accessible, web-based, public-facing benefit information site for Airmen, (Active, Guard, and Reserve) Family members, retired Airmen, Survivors and the general public

MyAirForceBenefits is accessible via .mil and public networks and provides:• Approximately 500,000 Airmen across all components and their family members

full access to benefits information related to military service• Survivors with tailored casualty benefits information validated via the Airman and

Family Readiness Survivor Benefits Office

Bottom line: MyAirForceBenefits arms Commanders, Benefits Counselors, Airmen and their families with personalized benefits information to facilitate financially-based decision-making

MyAirForceBenefitsFunctionality

Survivor Benefits Calculator: provides a personalized report projecting the lifetime stream of survivor benefits, which is essential for Airmen to help prepare their families for financial readiness in the event of their death on active duty or inactive duty for training

Retirement System Calculator: provides Airmen with a personalized calculation of their projected retired pay and facilitates an interactive “what if” capability to support effective retirement planning

Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) Premium Calculator: allows Airmen to determine SBP premium costs for different beneficiary options at retirement, as well as the ability to adjust base amount and see modified premiums

Deployment Calculator: enables Airmen and their families to understand and prepare for the changes that occur in pay and allowances prior to and during deployments

Casualty Operations Module: provides surviving family members with validated initial Survivor Benefit Reports, to include a calculator for surviving spouses to see their family’s updated lifetime stream of benefits and to conduct “what-if” calculations

Benefits Library: contains Federal and State/Territory Benefits fact sheets and a Resource Locator; fact sheets are updated annually or more often as needed

MyAirForceBenefits Help Desk: provides personalized assessments, support and reports for service and family members, and is accessible through the MAFB website, email, and/or phone
