What are the requirements for this course?

English requirements

In this online course, you will need to read

comprehensive learner workbooks and

textbooks, undertake a range of written

assessments and independent research

activities, and engage in online forums and

discussions.

Entry requires the successful completion of

Year 12 level English. If you have not achieved

this, you can demonstrate this knowledge by:

• Completion of a nationally recognised

training qualification at a Certificate III level or

higher

• 3 years relevant industry experience in a role

that requires the use of written documentation

and communication

Skill requirements

Students will require some basic computing

skills to complete this course successfully. This

includes:

• Accessing and searching the internet

• Downloading and saving documents from

websites

• Uploading documents through websites

• Participating in online discussions

• Creating, saving and editing Microsoft O�ce

documents

There are no formal education prerequisites for this course. But the Mathisi does prefer that you have

completed Certificate III in Financial Services or a minimum of two years financial industry experience

prior to enrolment.

• Microsoft O�ce 2010 or equivalent

• Adobe Flash player plug in

• Broadband internet connection

• 2GB of RAM

• Adobe Reader XI or equivalent

Age requirements

You need to be at least 18 years old to complete

this course.

Implement an integrated accounting system

Implement general ledger, chart of accounts, set up customers, suppliers and inventory, and set up taxation reporting requirements.

Maintain the system Add new general ledger accounts, customers, suppliers, inventory or assets, maintain chart of accounts and records, and customise chart of accounts for reporting needs.

Ensure system integrity Regularly back up the system to protect data, restore backed up data in the event of loss of data, and maintain secure record of transactions for audit purposes.

Process transactions within the system

Process input data, process cash and credit transactions, make balance day adjustments, review outputs to verify data accuracy, adjust for any errors, and perform end of financial year rollovers.

Produce reports Generate reports to indicate financial position and performance, and generate reports to ensure subsidiary ledgers and accounts, bank accounts and statements reconcile.
