The sculptures and built area of this huge temple is worth seeing. A very unique separate
shrine for Sarabheshwara, the mythical animal form of Lord Shiva who reduced the ferocity
of Lord Narasimha. Also time permitting, shopping at Thirubhuvanam silk sarees
Visit the colossal Mahalingeswarar Temple, Thiruvidaimarudhur. This ancient temple is
known for relief from Brahma Hathi dosham.
Visit the ancient Sivayoga Naathar Temple, Thiruvisanallur where you can have Darshan of
several forms of Bhairava
In the midst of lush green paddy fields, visit the beautiful Karkadeshwarar Temple. This
temple is recommended for those belonging to Kataka Rashi.
In the evening, visit the ancient Aadi Kumbeswarar Temple in Kumbakonam. This temple is
believed to be one of the reasons why Kumbakonam got its name. The Shiva lingam is
slightly tilted and is in the form of a Kumbha(pot). Also, the Someswarar temple.
