Red and X-Form Decals Application

Step1:InstallMystikredsolidvinylallaroundthe canopy (provided in 8’ sections).

Afterapplyingthedecalsonthecanopy,all canopyseamsshouldbecutandtuckedinto theseamwiththesqueegeeedge.

Step2:Determinewhetherthefasciaisprimaryor secondary,basedonvisibility/order.

InstalltheX-Formson1primaryand1 secondaryside.MakesuretheX-formsmeet andlineupontheedgewherethesecondary and primary meet.

Step3:InstalltheMystikwordmarkfromtheright edgeoftheprimarysideandcenteredtopto bottom.

Distanceofthewordmarkfromtheright edgeisdeterminedbythecanopyfascia height.Refertoillustrationaboveand charttotheright.

***Mystik wordmark must not intrude into the X-Form

Surface Preparation

1.Surfacemustbeabove50oFandbelow100oF. Surfacemaybeheatedorcooledmechanically beforeapplication.

2.Liftedorlooseedgesmustbetrimmedand smoothpriortoapplication.

Application Instructions

1.Applyamaskingtapehingeverticallyatthecenter ofthedecal.(FIGURE1)

2.Foldhalfofthedecalhinge,peelofflinertotape hinge,cutlineralonghingeanddiscard. (FIGURE2)

3.Foldbackholdingdecaloffsurface.Startingat centeroftapehinge,squeegeedecalusingvery firm,verticaloverlappingstrokes.Throughout applicationkeeptheunappliedportionofthe decaloffthesurface,allowingittotouchonly fromsqueegeepressure.(FIGURE3)

4.Whileapplyingthedecalsonthecanopy,ensure thatallcanopyseams are cut and tucked into theseamwithsqueegeeedge.(FIGURE4)

5.Removemaskingtapehingeandtheremaining liner.Repeatstep3.

6.Continueapplyingdecalsoverlappingeachone 1/8"to3/16".Trimwithrazorbladeifnecessary.

7.Wipewithpapertowel.(FIGURE5)

Finishing

1. Puncture decal in several places around rivet heads.Pressoutairwithsqueegee.

2.Userivetbrushandheatfromanindustrialheat guntomakethedecalconformtotherivethead. (FIGURE6)

3.Removewhitepaperpremaskbypullingitback ontoitself.(FIGURE7)

4.Eliminateairbubblesbypuncturingdecalat theedgeofthebubble(notthecenter)withapin or needle.

5.Pressouttheentrappedairstartingattheopposite edgefromthepuncture.(FIGURE8)

6.Re-squeegeealledgesandoverlaps.Reheatand userivetbrushtosealfilmoverrivets.
