The delegation of corporation led by Mayor Smt. Meena Jinwal, Ujjain Municipal corporation

visited Mysuru, the cleanest city in India to study the Swachh Bharath initiatives adopted by Mysuru

city corporation. She was accompanied by Sri.Sonu Gehlot, Sri Sunil Shah deputy Commissioner, Sri.

Satyanarayan. Sri. Jadon, Sri. Narayana chauhan. Smt. Geetha choudhary and others. Mayor Sri. B.L

Byarappa felicitated the visitors.

Sri. Roshan Baig, honorable Urban development minister, Government of Karnataka held a

review meeting at MCC, Sri. B.L Byrapppa. Mayor of Mysuru, Smt. Vanitha, Deputy Mayor, Sri.

Jagadish, Sri Balu, Sri. Shankar, Sri. Sudhail Baig corporations of Mysuru City Corporation felicitated

the Minister during his visit. The Honorable Minister reviewed the progress of resource mobilization

and various development.

An awareness programme about not littering public premises was held in zone 4 of

Mysuru city. Assistant commissioner Smt. Priya, Environmental engineer Smt. Tejaswini,

Development officer Nagraj Naik participated in the drive. The shopkeepers were informed

about keeping public premises and roads clean . They were asked to handover the garbage

to the door to door garbage collectors and not to litter the surroundings.

Swachchata activity was held at KSCB colony. This activity was conducted on

28/09/2016 with NR Health Officer Dr. Tabassum, Environmental Engineer Naseema and

health supervisor. Intensive cleaning operations of the colony was undertaken.

Plastic raid was conducted on 20/10/16 at exhibition grounds under the leadership of

commissioner Sri G.Jagdish. MCC Officers Dr. Ramchandra, AC Putsheshgiri, envronment

engineer Naseema Anjum, HI Ashok Bose and Abhaya team participated in the drive. The

team confiscated 1000 kgs of banned plastics like plastic covers, plates, cups, spoons etc.

School cleaning at ward 55, kalyangiri area as a part of school premises Swacchata week. Healh

officer Tabassum, Environment engineer Naseema participated in the drive.
