Although the truth is that, saturated fatty acids are equally necessary like polyunsaturated fats. Our body requires saturated fatty acids for carrying out diverse body functions. You would be startled to know that almost every food we have has saturated fatty acids present inside them. Be it meat or vegetarian. All has saturated oil or fat in them. And the best part is that unsaturated oils themselves contain saturated fat. How does that sound? And it is true ! Now different government health organizations and health experts underline the fact that our food must have a balanced amount of saturated fat to stay healthy But most of the populace who recognized the evil sides of saturated fatty acids and oil are however enormously cautious regarding having food containing saturated fatty acids and struggle to stay away from it. But this is just not valid. Nature does not lay saturated fat in veggies, mother's milk, in addition to other foods intended for kicks. That's there intended for a reason. The covering of our cells preferentially chooses saturated and monounsaturated fat for merging into its structure. Till now none of the research or studies could prove that saturated fat is indeed harmful for our health. All the research and studies conducted till this date failed to prove that saturated is indeed bad. And none of these researchers could actually find any link between the intakes of saturated fatty acids to heart diseases. These studies failed to understand the difference between the processed and dangerous trans fat or artificially hydrogenated oils from the healthy saturated fats, which was the major flaw in such studies.

Research has unraveled that tribal natives from different tropical parts of the world ate an unbelievable proportions of food containing saturated fat for many generations without getting any disease whatsoever. But these same tribes, when moved away from their natural habitat due to social and economic factors, and adopted lethargic lifestyle and ate junk food rich in unhealthy trans fats, heart diseases started becoming common in them.

So now scientists have discovered that saturated fat is not responsible for heart diseases at all, but it is the modern day life style along with high intake of trans fats which are.
