Sermon Notes:

“Relationship Jesus trumps Religious Jesus”

John 15:1-7

The main point – When your motives are right, don’t let religious

people keep you from hanging out with lost people.

Insights:

1. The religious establishment grumbled over Jesus hanging out with

sinners.

2. The searcher left the 99 sheep in relative safety.

3. The searcher is willing to bear the weight of the lost sheep.

4. The searcher is friends with people who think like him.

5. Jesus was intentional about his relationships.

Dear FBC Church Family and Kevin Dix,

Thank you so much for the high school

graduation dinner at Milano’s and for the Bible. I will treasure my memories of FBC

while away at college.

Bible Release Time provides a free T-shirt to rising 3rd graders who sign up

for the class! The students are overjoyed to receive their t-shirt. Each T-shirt has a Bible verse printed on them. This is a great way to get scripture visible in

our schools & community. "Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."

Reception to follow

Our Christian sympathy is extended

to the following:

Family of Ray Walker following his recent death;

Lee Jordan in the recent death of his mother;

Mary Ellen Benton in the recent death of her mother-in-law.

If you would like to put flowers in the Sanctuary in honor or memory of

someone special, just call the church office and put on the flower calendar located in the breezeway. What a wonderful way to say “I care”.
