Buses departing from Freeport LIRR station may be held at the discretion of supervisors, to enable transfers from arriving LIRR trains.

Return service from the Jones Beach Theater back to Freeport will be available for up to 30 minutes after the close of major concert events.

Weekend only service runs from May 25th thru June 23rd. Daily service runs from June 24th thru September 2nd.

Departure time from Jones Beach denotes a West Bathhouse departure. For Central Mall departure, add 2 minutes. For East Bathhouse departure, add 4 minutes.

Exact Fare is RequiredNICE accepts MetroCard and/or coins, Uni-Ticket, Unlimited Ride MetroCard, and Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard. For ticket sale locations, please call MTA at 718-330-1234 or visit www.mta.info.

Reduced Fare for Seniors, Disabled, and Medicare CardholdersSeniors 65 and older, disabled persons and Medicare cardholders pay a reduced fare with ID. Personal Care Attendants ride at no charge travelling with an eligible disabled customer.

Student and Child FareStudents with a reduced fare MetroCard pay a discounted fare and transfers are free. Children 44" tall and under ride free with a fare-paying adult; limit of 3 children per adult.

TransfersTransfers are free for both MetroCard and cash fare. Transfers are valid 2 hours on connecting routes only:

• MetroCard transfers are automatically included. Cash fare must request a transfer upon boarding.

• A single MetroCard transfer is allowed on up to 2 connecting NICE bus routes, 1 NYC Bus, 1 subway route or one MTA local bus route.

• Cash fare transfers are only valid on connecting NICE bus routes, NYCT Local, or MTA local bus routes. A second cash fare transfer must be requested to board a third NICE bus.

Buying a MetroCardThe MTA MetroCard is the fare for all NICE buses. MetroCards are available at the MetroCard vending machine at the Hempstead Transit Center and at any NYC Transit subway station. MetroCards are also available through various neighborhood vendors.
