Narrative Theory
Description Narrative Theory is the study of narratives and the way they
can be used to tell a story. This theory links directly to Audience theory as it is the way the audience respond.
Narrative conventions The conventions seen in a narrative magazine can be
created through layout, writing and style. Often an article can have narrative writing even if it is informative. The layout can be put in a way in which the reader can easily flow through what is put which helps convey a story or narrative convention.
Narrative study The narrative study mainly relies on an good understanding
of close reading techniques. To pick out pieces which are using a narrative technique is quite difficult when someone is not knowing about a narrative being built up in the writing.
