n High School A, located 30 minutes from the NWTC Green Bay Campus, wishes to use the lab to teach an NWTC course titled G-Code & CAM 1 (60-hrs) for their students planning to enroll in the CNC Technician program at NWTC. The lab is needed four hours per week for fifteen weeks (60 hours). • 60 classroom hours required (4 hours per visit) • 15 travel hours required (15 round trips) Total hours= 75 / Total cost= $3,750.00n High School B, located 20 minutes from the NWTC Green

Bay Campus, wishes to use the lab to teach basic CAM programming in their existing metals processing course. The lab is needed one hour per day for six weeks (30 hours).

• 30 classroom hours required (one hour per visit) • 20 travel hours required (30 round trips) Total hours= 50 / Total cost= $2,500.00n Middle School District A, located 60 minutes from the

NWTC Green Bay Campus, wishes to use the lab to provide a manufacturing career exploration to assist them in Academic Career Planning (ACP). The lab is needed 8 hours for one day.

• 8 classroom hours required (eight hours per visit) • 2 travel hours required (one round trip)

Total hours= 10 / Total cost= $500.00

Affordable and Flexible CNC Lab! The CIM Mobile Lab is a portable, fully self-contained learning lab equipped with state-of-the-art Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) technology equipment valued at over $330,000.

Our $50 per hour “a la carte” rate affords high school districts the opportunity to customize CIM Mobile Lab visits to meet student needs.

Showcasing Manufacturing Careers

The CIM mobile lab is a 44-foot trailer designed

to introduce high school students to advanced

manufacturing careers by giving them hands-on

experience with the customized Computer Numeric

Control (CNC) technology housed within the

mobile lab.

Mobile Lab Features, Equipment and Training

• Includes 12 student work stations and an instructor station.

• Utilize MasterCAM programming software, HAAS CNC Milling and HAAS CNC Turning technology.

• The mobile lab is supervised by a CNC lab aide who drives the lab to high schools and assists the high school teacher.

• Professional development is provided by NWTC to prepare high school teachers to deliver dual credit courses.

• Over 200 students have earned dual credits in the CIM Mobile Lab since 2012, with many of them going on to complete programs at NWTC.

Wisconsin can jumpstart their college education

and future careers through the training provided

by the mobile lab. While the trailer visits their

school, students can take up to four credits of the

NWTC CNC Technician program.
