Singing River Electric (SRE)’s annualmembership meeting will be held ursday, June 27, at the SRE office located at 11187 Old 63 South in Lucedale.

e Energy Fair will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., with annual meeting registration beginning at 4:30 p.m. e business portion of the annualmeeting will begin at 6 p.m.

In addition to the pre-meeting Energy Fair, the businesssession will include the cooperative’s financial, managementand board reports, as well as the annual board of directorselection. SRE has a 10-person board of directors electedfrom the membership in the three geographic districts.Each year, one director post from each district is up forelection. Every three years, District ree has two directorposts open. Directors are elected for a three-year period.

Nominations for election to the board of directors aremade by petition. Interested members must acquiresignaturesof 25 Singing River Electric members on aform provided by the cooperative. (continued on page 10a)

Any member may vote in person at the June 27 meeting, online or by proxy.Each member is entitled to one voteregardless of the number of accounts inthe member’s name. A proxy may beassigned to either a member of the currentboard of directors or to another SRE

member.A member can vote up to 200

assigned proxies at any membershipmeeting. e presence of a memberat the meeting, or in the case of ajoint membership, the presence of a spouse, shall revoke the proxy. Allproxies must be received by SRE’sLucedale office by close of businesson June 19.

During thisprocess, it exhausts that air outside the home.e act of forcing the air outside causes addi-tional unconditioned or hot air to be pulled intothe house. is adds to your home’s heating loadand causes your HVAC system to work harder to make you comfortable.

In our region of the country, most air conditioning systems are designed to operate at around 90-degree outdoor temperatures. Anytime temperatures exceed the system’s designedoutdoor temperature, your HVAC system willexperience extended run times.
