From humble beginnings...



From humble beginnings...

Feeling Electric began as a 10 minute musical

submission for the BMI Lehman Engel Musical

Theatre Workshop in 1998. Yorkey pitched the

idea to Kitt and they collaborated.

The idea was scrapped until 2002 when the full

length premiered at the Village Theatre in

Washington.

In 2005, the Village picked it up again which led to

a performance at NYMF. It was at NYMF that

producer David Stone picked up the project.



Second Stage workshopped the show twice, once

in 2006, once in 2007.

It o!cially hit O"-Broadway on January 16, 2008.

Next to Normal went back to a regional setting at

the Arena Stage from November 21, 2008 to

January 18, 2009.



Opened on Broadway on April 15, 2009
