Introduction
I started my online store in 2009 and I offered a fitting service so customers could have the option of trying dresses on before buying. This kept over heads low so I was able to relay this to the customer and undercut my competitors . This was very successful and I opened Couture Boutique in 2010. The dresses & shoes where hugely popular amongst the socialites and celebrities. I decided to test the market in February 2012 by renting high end dresses as there was a huge demand for them but the hefty price tag kept it in a specific client bracket.
Offering the rental service opened up a much bigger client base. I dealt with suppliers in New York and got access to high end brands at very low prices due to my negotiation skills. This allowed me to make a return on each dress after the 2nd rental. Each dress was rented 15 - 20 times.
I have received huge coverage from papers, magazines, Xpose, Ireland Am. Couture For Hire was recommended in Vogue UK 2012 for offering customers access to High end designer dresses for a fraction of the cost.
I have dealt with manufactures in China to make low cost celebrity inspired dresses on Coutureonine.ie purchasing at €30 a dress and retailing at €199.
