Research Activities:
Rootstock bank consisting of 9400 numbers of mother stools of apple clonal rootstock (M7, MM111, M793 and M106) and 200 number of mother stools of stone fruits has been established at Nauni.
Bud wood bank comprising 12 cultivars of apple (1505 plants), 9 of pear (224 plants) , 4of plum ( 158 plants) and 8 of peach (683 plants) has been established at Nauni.
Propagation of clonal rootstocks of apple through cuttings was tried for the first time and
observed that MM 111 gave best rooting when treated with 2000 ppm IBA + Splitting.
• Projects in hand (as PI in externally funded projects and PG students)
