It is not a comprehensive list, nor will all the suggestions be applicable to all services, however it provides a basis to identify contingency planning arrangements and the action required to move forward. It should be changed to meet the requirements of your service. The template is a checklist to inform the manager what they should have in place and what action they need to take to address the recommendations of best practice. Given the plethora of information that has been provided by the relevant authorities, I know that a great number of providers will have addressed many of the items in this contingency plan, but on the other hand some of our customers have asked for our help so we have responded to their request. The template is based upon current practice but as you are aware this can change from day to day. We therefore must advise you that it is the responsibility of each organisation themselves to ensure that the information is up to date, relevant and aligned with the best interests of their service users and staff. This template checklist is designed to assist homecare services managing with COVID-19 outbreak and the impact this will have on the continuity of service.
