Objectives of Tutorial Training

• To meet the current AVID Center tutorial training requirement for Essential 8

• To enable teachers to train tutors at their site

• To enhance understanding of what rigor in tutorials looks like and how to improve academic achievement

Why a Tutorial Support Curriculum?

• To provide the tutor and teacher with tools to debrief and refine the tutorial process with students and the elective teacher(s)
