Day 1: Arrive Windhoek, transfer Galton House or similar

Day 2: Depart Windhoek with your guide, driving through the Great Escarpment into the Namib Desert, arriving at Sossus Dune Lodge in the afternoon. L,D

Day 3: Enjoy the day taking a variety of game drives through the NamibRand Nature Reserve in Sossusvlei. O/N Sossusvei Dune Lodge B,L,D

Day 4: Drive through the impressive desert landscapes of the Namib Naukluft National Park, then depart for the char ming, Ger man-founded coasta l resort o f Swakopmund. O/N Guest House B,L,D

Day 5: Head to Walvis Bay in the morning for kayaking, looking for birdlife, Cape fur seals, dolphins, pelicans, flamingos and other sea birds, then return to Swakopmund to explore the town on your own. O/N Guest House B,L,D

Day 6: Drive into the heart of Damaraland, stopping at the World Heritage site of Twylfeltontein to see prehistoric rock carvings, and the geologic wonders of Burnt Mountain and Organ Pipes. O/N Camp Kipwe B,L,D

Day 7: Explore Damaraland, driving through the Aba Huab River Valley, searching for the elusive desert adapted elephants. O/N Camp Kipwe B,L,D

Day 10: Explore t h e e a s t e r n section of Etosha, photog raphing a n d w a t c h i n g w i l d l i f e t h a t congregate at the w a t e r h o l e s . Day 4: Fly into Damaraland, over the massive Sossuvlei dunes. See prehistoric rock engravings at the World Heritage site of Twyfelfontein, explore the wildly colorful and unique geologic formations of Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes. O/N Mowani Mountain Camp B,L,D

Day 5: On game drives today we will search for herds of desert adapted elephants and other wildlife along the Aba Huab River Valley by 4x4. O/N Mowani Mtn. Camp B,L,D

Day 6: Head deeper into Damaraland, stopping at a remote, rarely visited Himba village. The Himbas are nomadic pastoralists and one of the last of the traditional cultures in Namibia. Late afternoon arrival in our camp on the southern border of Etosha National Park O/N Ongave Lodge B,L,D

Day 7: Visit the famed Etosha National Park to see its wide variety of big game animals, including lions,

rhinoceros, zebras, and elephants. The park e n c o m p a s s e s a n ancient, enor mous, seasonal dry lakebed and wildlife in huge n u m b e r s v i s i t i t s w a t e r h o l e s . O / N Ongave Lodge B,L,D

Day 1: Arrive Windhoek, transfer to hotel Galton House D.

Day 2: Windhoek to Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp

Those electing to continue on the extension will be transferred to the Eros Airport for your scheduled light aircraft flight to Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp. On arrival you will be met by a guide from camp who will transfer you to camp for your three night stay. The afternoon will be spent exploring the Hoanib River, a recovering wildlife refuge.

Day 3: Skeleton Coast Park boundary Today is spent on activities as arranged by the camp, with local guides. The activities include game drives searching for desert adapted wildlife, guided walks to hide platforms and hiking trails and afternoon drives.

Day 4: Skeleton Coast Park boundary

This morning after breakfast you will go into the Skeleton Coast National Park, boarding a light aircraft for a scenic flight to the coast before landing on the beach--weather dependent with no refunds if the flight can’t take off due to weather as you are not charged additional for the flight. Other activities will be planned for the day. Continue in a safari vehicle exploring the majestic coastline. After a picnic lunch on the beach and further exploration you will be flown back to Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp in time to relax and enjoy a ‘sundowner’.

Day 5: Skeleton Coast Park boundary to Windhoek

This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your scheduled light aircraft flight back to Windhoek. You will be met at the airport and

transferred to your n i g h t ’ s a c c o m m o d a t i o n . Galton House D

Day 6: Departure

This morning you be will collected from Galton House and transferred to the International Airport in time for you to catch your o u t g o i n g international flight back home. This trip is perfect to combine with a Botswana safari or Namibia Safari. Contact our office for details!

Cancellation and Insurance Deposit of 25% is non-refundable. Balance due 90 days before trip. 100% non-refundable for cancellations less than 60 days prior to departure, 50% non-refundable if cancelled 61 to 90 days prior. We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance. Ask us for a quote from one of our travel insurance partners.

Included on Tour: All prices from Windhoek are based on double occupancy per person, exchange rates at time of publication but are  subject to exchange rate  fluctuation. Price may vary slightly depending on exchange at time of booking.  Price includes meals as indicated, drinks as indicated, internal transportation by vehicle (air not included), lodging on itinerary, all activities listed and guide services.
