Intro to Plein Air Painting New Bern, NC USA- $375
This three day workshop will introduce artists to the methods and materials used by plein air painters. Starting off with a lecture covering the special materials needs for working successfully en plein air. Nancy will cover editing and massing the essentials of the scene to be paint-ed. Frequent demos will be offered by Nancy while emphasis will be on “painting the light” and avoiding unnecessary detail. In addition we will cover designing for impact. The workshop will be conducted outside. In the event of inclement weather, we will work from still life and photos.
