Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications is looking for a partner to

set up a joint institute and develop international joint programs in the following

subjects:

For undergraduates:

1. Internet of Things Engineering

2. Information Engineering

3. Information Security

4. Network Engineering

5. Software Engineering

6. Electronic and Computer Engineering

7. Management Science and Engineering

For postgraduates:

1. Communication and Information Systems

2. Information Security

3. Information network

4. Electronics and Communication Engineering

5. Computer Application Technology

6. Software Engineering

7. Business Administration

8. Management Science and Engineering

NUPT and the selected partner can start with their partnership by jointly

developing 4+0 joint programmes in any one of the above-mentioned subjects

at undergraduate level and to recruit around 60-100 students each year and

2.5+0 at postgraduate level and to recruit around 30-50 students each year.

The partner will have the opportunity to:

build a long-term partnership with one of high-level universities in East

China, with possible expansion and further collaboration in the future

raise their institution’s profile and brand awareness in China

receive financial reimbursement for their support, to be further

negotiated with NUPT

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties

The selected partner will be expected to work with NUPT to:

jointly develop the curriculum for the joint programmes

provide support in the quality assurance of all the above programmes

send teaching staff to teach at NUPT

NUPT will be responsible for:

promoting and recruiting students and faculty members for the

programmes

providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching

premises and logistical support for the joint programmes

Brief introduction of NUPT

Established in 1942 and located in the city of Nanjing in the most dynamic

economic zone of Yangtze River Delta and internationalization of higher

education, NUPT is co-administrated by the Jiangsu Government and the

Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It has 4 campuses, 21

departments and 20 research centers, with 2300 faculty members,

offering 53 programs for bachelor’s degree, 42 for master’s degree and 14

for doctoral degree to 30,000 students. The three disciplines including

Materials Science, Engineering, and Chemistry have entered the top

global 1% of the ESI Rankings, while Telecommunication and Information

Engineering and Opto-electronic Engineering rank among the domestic

top 20 disciplines.

NUPT ranks the 80th among the “China’s Top Research Institutes”, the

61st among the top Hundred Universities in China. It is among the first

group of academic members of the International Telecommunication

Union (ITU).

As early as 1990, NUPT became an APT (Asia-Pacific Telecommunity)

Training Center in China. Over the past two decades, NUPT has trained

26 groups of personnel from 29 countries and regions. It has established

long-term interschool academic cooperation with over 20 famous foreign

universities and research institutes and are running almost 40

international student exchange programs. Since 2007, NUPT started to

run 4 joint programs with a U.S. education institution. Throughout the past

9 years, 1500 students have graduated (another 1200 students are now at

school). NUPT has accumulated rich experiences and has a well-grasp of

policy regarding the Sino-foreign Cooperative Education. Its Sino-foreign

programmes have received wide recognition and strong support from the

provincial and central governments.
