Call for Increased Collaboration

So what is a Forest Plan?• A general framework to guide

forest management considering economic, social and environmental factors.

• Describes broad integrated management direction for the National Forests.

• Plans are programmatic in nature and do not make site specific decisions.

• If future assessments reveal a need to adapt management of an area, the Forest Plan may be amended.

• All management activities/uses must comply with Forest Plan direction.
