Be ProactiveHabit 1
Circle of Control vs Circle of No Control
People who are Proactive focus on things they can control. They do not waste their energy trying to change
things out of their control. People who focus on things out of their control, often stay stressed and aggravated because they cannot change those
circumstances. Focus your attention on things you can control.
Read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Discuss how Alexander focus his attention on things outside of his Circle of Control and
how it effects his attitude and outlook on
life.
Proactive vs Reactive
Think before you act. You are calm, cool, and in control.
Respond to situations when they happen. You explode under pressure.
Journal EntrySometimes things happen in our life that shakes us up. We might say or do something that is not kind.
Has this ever happened to you before? How did you feel after the situation occurred? Was this a good way to release your feelings? What could you have done differently?
