The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) is pleased to partner with the fiscal year (FY) 2020 NASA Small Business Administrator’s Cup Award Winner, Kennedy Space Center, for the NASA Small Business Opportunities Virtual Expo 2021.
NASA’s Artemis missions will land the first woman and person of color on the Moon, using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before. As NASA embarks on these next missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond, small businesses will be critical to our success. From engineers and scientists to administrative and IT support, the Agency depends on small businesses to help expand our capabilities and expertise. Our organization prides itself on supporting small businesses by promoting and integrating all small businesses into the competitive base of contractors that pioneer the future of space exploration, scientific discovery, and aeronautics research.
Throughout the years, the dollars awarded to small businesses at NASA have significantly increased. Specifically, over the past five years, NASA increased its spending to small businesses as prime contractors by $580,954,782, or 23%, and as subcontractors by $655,059,627, or 28%. This increase in sub- contracting dollars is a testament to the growing availability of opportunities for small businesses. Additionally, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has recognized several new policies and procedures implemented by OSBP, as a federal government best practice. Small business, we are commit- ted to you!
This year the Expo will host an overview of the Artemis program to include technical and contractor panels and afternoon industry-specific networking rooms. It is my hope that your experience at this virtual expo will be engaging and foster long-lasting connections. Engage with our NASA Small Business Specialists, OSBP team, state and local government partners, and industry partners to learn more about the variety of ways your company can work on current and future missions. Make sure to give us feedback on ways that our office can improve how OSBP reaches and engages with small businesses like yours. Leave this event prepared to foster relationships and help NASA continue its legacy of innovation and inspiring further generations.

Thank you for your support. Enjoy the event!
Sincerely,
Glenn A. Delgado Associate Administrator NASA Office of Small Business Programs
