ABOUT NITJ

Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was established in the year 1987 as Regional Engineering College and was given the status of National Institute of Technology (Deemed University) by the Government of India on October 17, 2002 under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. Now the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has declared the Institute as “Institute of National Importance” under the act of Parliament-2007.

INTRODUCTION

Education is the backbone of every country. A country will not be able to survive in the competitive world, if its education system is not capable of contributing for its development. Indian education system is widely criticized in multi-dimensions for its failure to inculcate competence, creativity and innovation in the students. It is the need of the hour for the educators of the country to thoughtfully experiment and apply new or different pedagogical approaches, technologies, curricular enhancement, course design and organization and assessments, which help the students to develop their creativity and their problem solving skillsThis Conference will dwell upon issues and challenges in the current Indian education system in light of implementation of New Education Policy. Eminent experts from diverse domains will be invited to discuss and present their work / experience on this issue of national importance.The papers shall be presented by the participants in following tracks during the conference Track I: School Education (Government and Non-Government)Track II: Professional Educational (Technical and Medical)Track III: Higher Education (Universities and Graduate Colleges)

* Abstracts/ Full papers may be submitted online at the conference link on Institute website : www.nitj.ac.in latest by November 15, 2019.Or may also be sent through e-mail at [email protected]. * Publication: All abstracts will be published in proceedings and selected papers will be published in edited book.* Posters complying with the prescribed templet may be submitted latest by November 15, 2019. Refer to the poster templet and presentation guidelines on the institute website.

REGISTRATION

Participants are requested to register online at www.nitj.ac.in.

REGISTRATION FEE

* Presenter : Rs. 500 for Academicians, Rs. 200 for Research Scholars.* Attendee: Rs. 200 for Academicians, Rs. 100 for Research Scholars.* Submit fees through online link given on website.

PRESENTATION

* Participants are required to present their work/views using a PowerPoint presentation.

* All the participants will get an opportunity to speak for 8-10 minutes to share their views and the best practices and innovations in education system.

* Poster presenters shall be provided space for exhibiting their posters either on November 30 (post-lunch), or on December 1, 2019, 9:30-11.30 as per the Conference Programme.* Medium of paper/paper presentation may be in English, Hindi or Punjabi.

ACCOMMODATION

All the participants are encouraged to stay with us. Stay arrangement will be made in the institute hostel on nominal payment basis, however the participants are free to make their own stay arrangements, if they wish.
