RecTech as Community ResourceI’ve been trying to start my own business, but it’s tough not having a computer at home. I do emails and what else I can on my phone. [At RecTech], though, I can sit and work on my business plan, make flyers or Powerpoints, whatever I need!

I was pretty stubborn about learning technology, thought I could get along without it. But after my [Computer Basics for Seniors] class, I want to learn even more. There are so many useful things I never imagined!

–L.C., Yesler Senior

RecTech as Afterschool ProgramPriority access, homework help, tutoring, and healthy snacks help youth stay safe and engaged after school…

RecTech as Afterschool Program

…Digital Media programs in graphic design, music production, web design, and more keep them learning when the homework is done

RecTech Digital Media InternshipsAfter the RecTech Internship, I feel more prepared for high school the fall. I feel like I am more capable because I learned these technology skills, and more confident because I learned other things too, like teamwork and managing big projects. –T.C., Summer 2011 Intern

I thought I had no skill or life ahead of me before this. Now I have a creative outlet and I can pursue my goals confidently. I hope I can continue to use photography to express myself. I want to use my pictures as proof that I am strong and capable and can reach all my goals. –T.D., Fall 2011 Intern
