ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY Anna University was established on 4th September 1978. Anna

University is a dynamic institution dedicated to the pursuit of

academic excellence. The University has become more

relevant than ever as a provider of talent, knowledge and

innovation in this age of progress through knowledge. Anna

University is the largest technical University, with a strength

evidenced by 615 affiliated colleges and 7.37 lakh students on

roll. The executive committee of the National Assessment and

Accreditation Council has accredited the University with A

grade.

Recently, Anna University has been ranked the 4th among the

universities in the country, 8th in engineering category and 10th

in the overall category. Anna University is ranked 201 in World

wide as per QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) in the Faculty of

Engineering and Chemical during the year 2017-2018. In the

areas Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering,

Anna University is ranked between 151 and 200 at the global

level and 7th at the national level.

OVERVIEW OF THE EXHIBITION

The Technology Exhibition 2019, organized by the Centre for

Technology Development and Transfer in the Anna university

premises is an unique opportunity to experience some of the

newest technological solutions in the fields of Mechanical, IT,

Civil, Electrical, Electronics Architecture and Applied Science.

The exhibition will feature over hundreds of stimulating

showpieces from the university faculties and students. It is a

great platform to connect with the industry experts, market

leaders, investors across India. The next generation

innovations are introduced to the market place for

commercialization to realize Make in India.

PURPOSE

To act as a Technology Enabling Centre pooling the talents

and promoting their innovations for enabling Technology

transfer.

To identify innovative process / products meeting societal

needs and to showcase the hidden Technology and Design

products of the students in India in the specified thrust

areas.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS Participants should be from any college Nationwide. Each team

should be led by a Faculty member (Mentor) of the Institute.

For each additional member upto two, Rs.1000 per member is

to be paid additionally along with the Registration Fee.

The team size should be five members. For each additional

member upto three, Rs.500 per member is to be paid

additionally along with the Registration Fee.

A candidate should register only in one team. If any

discrepancies found, teams concerned will be disqualified.

The projects should be in any one of the thrust areas.

Interdisciplinary projects will be given preferences.

The technical details should be checked for plagiarism and

submitted.

The candidates should complete their two level registration

process. The selected projects for displaying in the exhibition

will be intimated through E-mail.

The products should be demonstrated for final evaluation on

07.02.2019 and 08.02.2019.

Expert decisions will be final regarding the selection of projects.

REWARDS First and Second Prize will be awarded under each thrust area.

Best Product Prize will be given for the product attracting the

industrial partners.

HOW TO APPLY? LEVEL 1:

Registration should be done online in the CTDT website.

(http://ctdt.annauniv.edu/technology)

The hardcopy of the generated proposal should be duly signed

by the applicants, mentor and attested by the Head of the

Institution / Director of the Centre.

Hard copy of the registration form and technical details should

be sent to the CTDT office on or before 07.12.2018.

LEVEL 2:

The technical images of the product / prototype / process

developed by the team should be submitted using

Login credentials generated during registration.

Last date for submission is 04.01.2019, 5.30 pm.

REGISTRATION FEE CATEGORY A: Anna University and UCoE Rs. 500/-

CATEGORY B: Affiliated colleges and Others Rs. 1500/-

** Additional student fee: Rs. 500/- per member for both categories.

** Additional Mentor fee: Rs. 1000/- per member for both categories.
