Only 3% of regularly reported stores withheld weekly ads this week specifically due to the Covid-19 crisis, which is strong indication that inventories are continuing to normalize. Grill-friendly items like zucchini and yellow squash, asparagus, corn, pineapples, and mushrooms were showcased along with steaks and sausages. Tree fruit, melons, berries, grapes, and avocados were abundant. Fathers Day bakery items and gift ideas were sprinkled throughout the flyers. Graduation celebration items were offered too, though less frequently than in past years. Total ad numbers this week were 314,264, a 4% increase from last weeks 303,466. Ad numbers this week were 12% lower than this week last year. The total number of ads broken out by commodity groups: fruit 204,003 (65% of all ads), onions and potatoes 20,149 (6%), vegetables 89,068 (28%), herbs 841, and ornamentals 203. The number of ads for organic produce was 47,853, 15% of total ads. There were 1,858 ads for hemp products this week. The following are the prices of major advertised items (3,000 plus stores) this week, compared to the same week last year. Significant increases in price for fruit this week included apple juice at 20% and mangoes at 19%. Significant decreases included avocadoes at 24%, seedless grapes (organic white-16%, red-13%, white-11%), and blueberries at 10%. Dads and Grads

Fathers Day gave a nice bump to ad numbers this week, putting them in the normal range for the first time in months. Only 3% of regularly reported stores withheld weekly ads this week specifically due to the Covid-19 crisis, which is strong indication that inventories are continuing to normalize. Grill-friendly items like zucchini and yellow squash, asparagus, corn, pineapples, and mushrooms were showcased along with steaks and sausages. Tree fruit, melons, berries, grapes, and avocados were abundant. Fathers Day bakery items and gift ideas were sprinkled throughout the flyers. Graduation celebration items were offered too, though less frequently than in past years.

Total ad numbers this week were 314,264, a 4% increase from last weeks 303,466. Ad numbers this week were 12% lower than this week last year. The total number of ads broken out by commodity groups: fruit 204,003 (65% of all ads), onions and potatoes 20,149 (6%), vegetables 89,068 (28%),herbs 841, and ornamentals 203.
