INTRODUCTION SGSY has been restructured as National Rural Livelihoods
Mission (NRLM), subsequently renamed as "Aajeevika", to
implement it in a mission mode across the country. The
program was formally launched on 3rd June, 2011.
It is to establish efficient and sustainable institutions of
the rural poor that enable them to increase household
income through livelihood enhancements.
The core belief of NRLM is that the poor have innate
capabilities and a strong desire to come out of poverty.

Recommendation
By interacting with the staffs of NRLM, we came to know that training programs and scheme are not yet implemented in Tripura.
So, it is very tough to give any suggestions or recommendations to the NRLM.
![Page 24: National Rural Livelihood Mission in Tripura Perspective](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022081508/556ae787d8b42a86218b4a42/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
CONCLUSION NRLM aims at reducing poverty and creates self-
employment and skilled wage opportunities. NRLM is the largest program for women in the
world with its goal of reaching nearly 70 million rural households.
As per NRLM they will very soon begin their work right now they are doing primary base line surveys in Tripura.
From the financial graph we can assume that total fund allocated to Tripura for NRLM projects is near about Rs. 3,800 Lakh.
