(A)ROLE IN PRODUCING CONSERVING AND

ENHANCING SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE

The Singapore Science Centre is the

only science centre in Singapore.

The Centre has been a custodian of

creativity and innovation, capturing the

evolution of scientific developments

through unique and relevant

exhibitions and shows and continues

to ignite young minds and foster new

generations of scientifically savvy

Singaporeans.

The Centre also has workshops for

teachers to expand

their teaching

resources.

The National Taiwan Science

Education Centre is the only national

centre for science education.

It is the most popular place for schools

to go for their students to learn

science in a fun way!

The exhibits also expand your

viewpoint, while the science library

and fully-equipped science labs allow

for hands-on experience in science,

exploring more than just the

theoretical base!

(B) INFORMAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

The Singapore Science Centre has

many interactive exhibitions and

models. This allows visitors to have

fun and enjoy themselves as much as

they want to while learning more about

science.

Visitors can play at the outdoors

waterworks exhibition and the

ecogarden, or discover more about

themselves at “Uniquely You”!

The National Taiwan Science

Education Centre has activities like

Outdoor Science Education seminar

and also Laboratory Workshops where

they do hands on experiments

learning about the true spirit of

science.

(C ) OUTREACH PROGRAMME

Singapore Science Centre allows

schools to book enrichment

programmes with the Science Centre.

Schools can opt for a workshop in one

of the specialised teaching labs, a

lecture demo or an engaging problem-

based exploration to complement the

school’s science curriculum.

Singapore Science Centre also has

many social media pages and allows

for virtual workshops to be held.

everyone.

The Science Centre has seminars,

workshops, science fairs and many

more interesting events, activities and

adventures.

These programmes allow people to

learn more about science and explore

the world of science.

(D) IMPACT

The Singapore Science Centre has

impacted people personally by

allowing them to appreciate science in

a leisurely manner.

The Science Centre impacts the

economy by attracting foreigners to

visit and pay for entry tickets while

exploring the Science Centre. The

waterworks is also one of the top 10

family attractions in 2005. Many

tourists

would want to see

the attractions. On top

of that, the Science

Centre has also won

numerous awards.

The National Taiwan Science

Education Centre has impacted

people personally by attracting people

to learn about science, have fun with it

and fall in love with it.

The Science Centre is the only

national centre for science education

in the country. This causes many

foreigners to want to visit the Science

Centre. Their tickets are also priced

such that you have to pay for every

exhibition you want to visit, earning

more money.

(E) EXHIBITS

Singapore Taiwan

Currently, Singapore Science Centre has

26 exhibitions, with 24 past exhibitions.

Highlighted exhibitions are: Sketches of

Science, Defending Science, iZ Hero,

and Quirky!

Other exhibits range from Biology,to

Geography , to Math, and even, about

CANDY!

There is also an outdoor waterworks

exhibition that allows children to play in

water as well as learn more about water!

Currently, the National Taiwan Science

Education Centre has 6 exhibitions, with

7 past exhibitions.

The current special exhibition is The

Story Of Water exhibition! This exhibition

has a lot of information about water and

what other countries with little water

experience.

Other exhibits relate to Life Sciences,

Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and

the Earth Sciences.There is also a

playground for lots of games and family

interaction as well as to express

yourself!
