Scheduling Steps1. Schedule a testing time at one of our many
NTC locations.
• For CLEP and DSST, schedule your exam with our
online registration system:

2. Go to the local NTC and complete your chosen test
within the specified time limit of your appointment.
3. Receive your results the same day.*
* Some CLEP or DSST exams, such as Principles of Public Speaking and College Composition, are exceptions.
Who is Eligible?The computer-based examinations are available to
active duty military servicemembers and eligible
civilian examinees, and on a space-available basis
to all other logistically supported examinees,
i.e., family members or contractors who have a
U.S. military ID card.
Retesting Policy If you are an active duty servicemember and your
CLEP or DSST testing is funded by DANTES, please
note that DANTES no longer funds retesting of a
previously funded exam. For more information,
visit www.dantes.doded.mil.

UMUC offers on-site testing services at NTCs throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia, featuring a wide variety of exams, on-site support, easy scheduling, and instant score results. Most first-time testing is at no cost to active duty servicemembers.

Proctored Exams If you are in need of a proctored exam and are not
currently enrolled with UMUC, you can have your online
internet-based exams officially proctored for a $20 fee.
