2007 Other bioactive products U 1300 Natural Dibenzoxazepinones from Leaves of Carex distachya: Structural Elucida- tion and Radical Scavenging Activity. — Two new dibenzoxazepinones are isolated from the leaves of the herbaceous title plant. Compounds (Ia) and (Ib) exhibit strong NO scavenging activity, slightly lower than that of ascorbic acid. Their inhibiting ac- tivities with respect to superoxide radical scavenging activity are estimated similar to that of α-tocopherol.
