Dear Friends,The variety of cultural traditions that have been steep-ing and stewing in the Pacific Northwest for genera-tions is deep, rich, and delicious!

In fact, our mix of cultures is so rich that we have cul-tures within cultures and traditions within traditions.

On December 24 at 8 pm, join the charismatic Chef and host of No Passport Required, Marcus Samuelsson, as he visits Seattle, meeting James Beard Award winning Filipino cuisine chefs, stops in at old school Filipino diners, and talks with food producers who supply these chefs with the culturally-necessary ingredients.

It's the potluck at the end that really makes this worth watching, especially when Samuelsson toasts the assembly of highly awarded Filipino chefs and pop-up entrepreneurs alike, saying, "You'll go on many differ-ent journeys, but you'll have your food in common."

This is true of the entire culture in Western Wash-ington, too, where so many different people from so many different walks of life come together in com-mon spirit, sharing their amazing traditions with one another.

Your financial support makes it possible for KBTC to shine a light on these stories, strengthening our com-munity and and keeping the tradition of public televi-sion strong.
