State of one’s mind described as being equipped and expectant to discover

new things and arrive at certain answers or conclusions because of the

research process

Objectivity Being relatively free from bias that the researcher can present data or results

even if it does not went out the way he/she wanted it to be

Focus Having one’s eyes, mind, heart and might directed solely on the goal

Presuppositions

An assumption reflective of one’s worldview

Organization A prerequisite for functional and fruitful research process

Being truthful in every step in the research process- from the statement of

the research problem to the presentation of data

Humility A Christian virtue directly proportional to the acquisition of wisdom

Analysis Dissection of each part or detail of an item of inquiry, a problem at hand or a

topic in scrutiny

Synthesis Combination of two or more thought systems or ideas to form a unified and

strengthened idea, body of information or conclusion

Evaluation Assessment of an idea or thought system or a product using parameters to

measure its effectivity or truthfulness or significance
