Installing Naviextras Toolbox / Updating your microSD Card

In order to update (Latest Map Guarantee / LMG), back-up or purchase extra features from iGo’s naviextras website, you will need to go to the main iGo webpage (www.naviextras.com) and download the “PC Tool”.

Note: Only Windows computers are supported for the Naviextras Toolbox. A new toolbox is coming soon for Mac support.

Once the “Naviextras Toolbox” is downloaded, install it on your computer.

Once the “Naviextras Toolbox” is installed on your computer open the “Naviextras Toolbox”.

Insert your microSD card into a suitable adapter and insert the adapter into a USB port on your computer. The naviextras toolbox will scan the microSD card and determine if there are map updates available, navigation engine updates and other software related updates/upgrades.

Note: The naviextras toolbox may stop responding intermittently, if this happens, remove the microSD card adapter from the computer and close the naviextras toolbox program. Reopen naviextras toolbox, and reinsert the microSD card adapter into your computer. Login to your account when prompted to do so.

After the microSD card is scanned, log into your iGo account.

During your session in the naviextras toolbox, you will be prompted several times to “back-up” your microSD card. This is highly recommended should something happen to the data contents on the microSD card. If you do not back-up your card content, there is no way to retrieve the data if it is lost or corrupted. If you need new map data, you may be required to pay a fee to restore the card contents.

Click-on the “Update” tab in the left side bar to see available updates;

Click-on “Install” to install free navigation updates.

Note: Do not click-on “More…”. This tab allows you to modify device contents, which is not recommended.

Free updates are now complete.
