what you need to help you arrive atyour destination safely.

Self-learning and adaptive software.Here is the key to how FURUNO hasrevolutionized the autopilot marketplace withthe NAVpilot series. From the first dock-sidesetup through the last voyage you made, the NAVpilot continues to learn your vessel’ssteering characteristics. This allows for dynamically adjusting theboat's steering for vessel speed, trim, draft,tide and wind effects, weather, etc. Thesecharacteristics are stored on the processor’smemory where they are continuouslyoptimized to make the NAVpilot moreversatile.

everything in between. Features includeAuto Mode - one press of a button turns the steering over to the NAVpilot to free youto monitor your radar, chart plotter, etc.;Advanced Auto Mode - utilizing automaticground tracking control to steer the vessel;Nav Mode - track control system referencedon a precision cross track error whenintegrated with GPS navigator; and WindMode - allows you to control your sailboatwhile compensating for the effects of windand tide.

Fishing just got easier with the exclusiveFishHunter™(For power boat only).FishHunter is a unique feature of FURUNO’sNAVpilot series. Find a fish target with yourFURUNO sonar/sounder or bird target withyour Furuno radar and feed it to theNAVpilot. The NAVpilot will activate theFishHunter mode to perform orbit, spiral orfigure eight maneuvers around the specifiedtarget. This feature can also be used forMan Overboard (MOB).

Safety notice:Autopilot should not be used in congestedareas or around obstacles. Switch theautopilot to manual mode whenever potentialdanger is present. An autopilot is an aid to,not a replacement for, an experiencedhelmsman.

The 2 DIN unit with an extra largemonochrome LCD displays a variety ofinformation with large easy-to-readcharacters and graphics. The large controlknob allows for precise course changingand straightforward menu selecting.

The compact and waterproof 1 DIN unit FAP-6011/5011 can beinstalled anywhere on any type of boat. Its clear LCD indicatesimportant navigational information, including rudder information.

A handheld control unit allows for fulloperation of autopilot from anywhereonboard. Its clear LCD displaysvarious navigation information toassist you in steering your boat.

The NAVpilot consistentlymaintains the pre-setheading, but the vesselmay drift away from theintended course due totide and wind.

The NAVpilot steers thevessel toward theintended waypoint/destination, whilecompensating for theeffects of tide and wind.

When interconnected with aGPS navigator, the NAVpilotcan automatically steer thevessel to follow a series ofwaypoints in succession(waypoints set by thenavigator). On arriving ateach waypoint or destination,audio-visual alerts will beactivated.

The NAVpilotconsistently maintainsthe pre-set heading,while compensating forthe effects of tide andwind.

The NAVpilot consistentlymaintains the pre-set headingat the constant direction towardthe true or apparent winddirection, while compensatingfor the effects of tide and wind.

The FishHunterTM modecan be activated toautomatically set upyour boat’s steeringbehavior after itreaches the lastwaypoint in a route.The radius(L) of each maneuver can be set in the menu.
