Repairs may be required to make operational. Any law enforcement/military equipment that appears in a photo will be removed by the government prior to the sale. These items include gun mounts, blue lights, sirens and specialized radios and their mounts. ****Lifting slings, rigging gear and shackles, if provided, may not be certified or serviceable. It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to ensure that any hoisting and rigging gear purchased with a boat is certified and serviceable prior to using it to hoist the boat. Please plan removal accordingly. ****The successful bidder is responsible for the proper disposal of oily water that may have accumulated in the boat. No work other than the disposal of oily water may be accomplished prior to removal without the express written consent of the contracting officer of record. ****Successful bidders are cautioned that they will be solely responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the exact place where the property is located. ****Successful bidders will be provided with a Purchasers Receipt, a Bill of Sale and a request for certification of build form, which they will need to send to Naval Surface Warfare Center, before titling the vessel. Note that a quasi-title will be required from the original purchaser in the event the boat is resold.

NAVAL WEAPONS STATION YORKTOWN CHEATHAM ANNEX

ACCESS INFORMATION

To gain access to Warehouse 11 on Naval Weapons Station Yorktown Cheatham Annex, an individual must possess a Common Access Card (CAC), Military ID, or DBIDS card with Yorktown Naval Weapons Station listed on your pass. If you do not possess any of these identification cards you must first proceed to the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station Pass Office for a one-day visitor’s pass and present 2 forms of identification: picture ID (driver’s license/TWIC/etc.), and an original social security card, original birth certificate, or a passport/passport card. After receiving your visitor’s pass, you may proceed to Cheatham Annex. If asked, Brian Mishoe is your Government Sponsor. You should also have with you a copy of your Purchasers Receipt to show why you need access to the base and to verify Brian Mishoe as your Government Sponsor at Warehouse 11 and a copy of your Auction Load Release form if applicable. Interstate 64 East from Richmond: Take Exit 247 off I-64. At the bottom of the ramp turn left onto Jefferson Ave (Route 143), drive about ½ mile and turn left onto Longfellow Rd at the light. The Pass Office is on your left. Interstate 64 West from Norfolk: Take Exit 247 off I-64. At the bottom of the ramp turn right onto Yorktown Rd (Route 238), then turn left onto Jefferson Ave (Route 143) at the light. Drive a little over ½ mile and turn right onto Longfellow Rd at the light. The Pass office is on your left.

CHEATHAM ANNEX

Take Exit 242B off Interstate 64 onto Route 199 East to Cheatham Annex Main Gate (about 2 miles). FOR INSPECTIONS: Continue on Sanda Ave for about 1 mile and turn left onto “D” Street. Drive about ½ mile then turn left onto ESSM road. Our warehouse will be on your left. Park with the other vehicles on your left and enter through side door. The office is just inside the door. FOR REMOVALS: Continue on Sanda Ave for about one mile and turn left at the 4-way stop sign onto “C” Street. Warehouse 11 is about 1/3 mile on your right. Park at Warehouse 11 (look for the big yellow crane) and walk into the warehouse and proceed to the office in the 2nd bay on your left. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INSIDE THE WAREHOUSE.

This includes any commercial vehicle and driver used by the purchaser to remove their property.
