“---nor anything else in all Creation can separate us from the

Love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ - my 4th Day Community -

In Sarah Young’s Jesus Calling, she writes: ‘Nothing can separate you from

My Love. Let this divine assurance trickle through your mind and into your

heart and soul. Whenever you start to feel fearful or anxious, repeat this

unconditional promise – “Nothing can separate me from Your Love, Jesus”.’

I am honored and humbled to be called to serve as your Rector for NC

Presbyterian Pilgrimage #129 at Camp Hanes, October 9-12, 2014. God called

this Team to share this journey with me. He guided me in assigning each of

them to a role only he or she could fill.

Our amazing logo brings me Joy! This is an image of the Pilgrimage cross

backed by the colors of the rainbow found in the ribbon from which it hangs. I

made my weekend, Cursillo #13, in February, 1995. Throughout the weekend, I

experienced the joy and grace and love of Jesus Christ in a new way. On

Sunday afternoon as my cross was placed around my neck, I knew I had met

Christ on the mountain top! On the previous night, Romans 8:38-39 was read

in the Saturday night meditations. I first connected with this passage from

Romans at a Lay Witness Mission a few years earlier. Each time I hear it, I

feel a nudge from God as if He is reminding me: Remember this promise. On

#13, I claimed it as “my Scripture”. These words will lead the Team and the

New Pilgrims through #129!

For NCPP #129, I have asked the Team to recall the story of Martha and Mary

from Luke 10. I am depending on each of them to meet, plan, organize, and

work as Martha did in preparing the celebration for Jesus. And then - - - take

time to “sit at His feet” as they absorb and experience all of the joys and grace

of a Pilgrimage Weekend!

To the 4th Day Community, I invite you to be a part of this weekend. Please

continue to pray for the Team and Guests. Write Palanca letters.

Join us for the Send-off and the Serenade and the Closing. Come to

the Ultreya on October 25 (5:30pm) - Westminster Presbyterian

Church – Greensboro, to welcome the Guests of NCPP #129 into the

Pilgrimage Family!

God Loves You and So Do I –

Sponsoring a Guest

At a recent Piedmont Council Meeting some of the discussion centered on setting a consistent date to stop accepting guests for a weekend. This discussion was not about how many guests we should have on a weekend, but in fairness to the guests, when we should stop accepting guests for the weekend. The decision was made by the Council that applications would be accepted up to Sunday night at 6:00 PM, two weeks prior to the weekend.

Sponsors need to have enough time to get palanca letters, one of the biggest visible signs of love and support, from the guest’s family and friends. Also the team, and especially the rector, needs the time to adequately finalize plans for their upcoming weekend. Any applications received after this time period will be held for the next weekend and the sponsor will be advised accordingly. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. I will be happy to discuss this with you. Your Brother in Christ, Lenwood Collins NCPMC #17 Registrar, Piedmont Council

ATTENTION 4th DAY!! The Kitchen staff for Team 129 needs a few things for the

weekend. They would like some burgundy curtains or cloth to make curtains and also some

white Christmas lights. These items can be a donation or they can be returned after the

weekend. Thank you so much for your help with this!

The documentation committee is continuing to prepare Head Cha manuals for each of the

weekend service groups. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to this project.

Please verify your personal information on the NCPP website. Telephone numbers, email

addresses, names etc. do change and make it difficult to get in touch with you.

Congratulations to Wayne Robertson who was named Rector of NCPP #131 in February

2015.
