Back to School Breakfast

Every year, North Crowley Key Club pairs up with the school’s NHS and Student Council to make a big appreciation breakfast for all of the faculty and staff at their campus and the 9th grade campus. It’s a huge endeavor, with Key Club typically taking the job of making buckets of bacon, bags of biscuits, and gallons bacon, bags of biscuits, and gallons of gravy. “Though waking up early might not always be the most fun thing, I love doing this,” said Vice President Toyana Niraula. “I get to spend time with some of my favorite people cooking for people who deserve the very best, even if it’s in the form of a breakfast.” After about two hours of flipping, reheating, baking, and placing, it was time to bring out all of the food to teachers. Members brought down and placed foods on lines of table, so teachers could walk down it like a buffet line. Members stood beside the lined up tables, greeting and talking to teachers as they served themselves their as they served themselves their breakfast.
