HAPPY HOLIDAY’S to everyone! The Belzman household is inthe decorating mode. Outside lights and decorations and inside dec-orations are being set up for the holiday celebration.
Everyone should be signed up and paid to attend our annual HolidayDinner. This year’s event at MCAS Miramar will be one of ourhighlight events of the year. We have at least our target number ofattendees, 50, ready to enjoy a fine evening of dining and spendingtime with friends at this special time of year.
Those in attendance enjoyed the club run to Deer Springs Park Mu-seum and Winery at the end of November. The weather provided aperfect fall day with plenty of sunshine. Thanks go to Terry andGreg for putting the run together. They introduced a little twist tothe ride from North County shopping center. The passengers chose adriver other than who they came with. We all learned new and inter-esting things about each other, on the way to our destination. Athank you to Bob Brown for some great pictures.
The committee formed to investigate and select a club charity hasbegun the process. A list of recommended options will be presentedto the Board, reviewed and top choices presented to the membershipfor selection. We are targeting the first part of 2010 for completion.
Our annual Christmas Light Run is scheduled for Saturday, Decem-ber 12th, and lead by the renowned Bob Brown. Be sure to sign upfor this colorful event.
As the year comes to a close, the board members and me wish ev-eryone a happy, joyous and safe holiday. The coming new year willbe better than ever with new ideas for runs and events.
Best wishes for a Happy Holiday!
Bob

The Corvette vision concept wa unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show inChicago, IL Wednesday, February 11, 2009. The vehicle will debut asthe character 'Sideswipe' in the upcoming DreamWorks Pictures and Par-amount Pictures release, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
The vehicle was dreamed up by the Corvette designers at GM and is influenced by the origi-nal Stingray race car introduced in 1959. Blending exterior elements of the '59 Sting Rayrace car and the '63 split-window in a thoroughly modern package, the concept represents astyling direction described by GM as "equal parts race car and spaceship."
But now it's here in the flesh, and it's a safe bet GM is looking to gauge consumer and en-thusiast interest around the globe before going beyond the notion that this is a concept only.

Fun Question (from page 9)From: How Dumb Are You, by Adam Winer
Answer: C) Stupidly
An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, adjective, clause orother adverb. When you were eight, they taught you that usuallymeant the word ended in -ly.
Good writers tend to loathe adverbs. Nobel Prize winner GabrielGarcia Marquez declared that his 1983 novel Chronicle of a DeathForetold contained only one adverb, and then swore he’d neveruse another one again. Feel free to go through his later works anddouble-check–if you have way too much time on your hands.
