¿Qué es un BYOD en educación?

B YOD El BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) o TSPD (Trae Tu Propio Dispositivo) es una nueva metodología de educación que consiste en que cada estudiante

lleve al salón de clase su propio dispositivo electrónico - smartphone, laptop o tablet -

para mejorar la lección dictada por el profesor.

Esta nueva propuesta está dirigida a involucrar al estudiante con el uso apropiado de la

tecnología y a que reconozca que los dispositivos electrónicos con los que ya está

familiarizado pueden ser una herramienta útil y divertida para potenciar su aprendizaje.

El BYOD nació bajo la premisa de que hoy en día enseñarle a los más pequeños cómo utilizar

y sacar provecho de la tecnología es tan impor-tante como enseñar a leer o a escribir. La era

digital da lugar a pensar una educación apoyada por la interactividad de las herramientas

digitales, donde se enseñe a consumir y a producir contenido valioso.

¿Qué es un BYOD en educación?

Es importante que los dispositivos electrónicos sean un apoyo para la lección, más no la lección en sí misma.Los profesores idealmente deben planear previamente si la clase girará en torno a la búsqueda de información o al desarrollo de un concepto.

Dentro de la implementación del BYOD, es necesario que los docentes tengan la pacien-cia necesaria para confrontar los obstáculos que puede presentar este método. Aquí les damos algunos tips para superarlos:

Vale la pena mencionar que a pesar de la llegada de la tecnología al salón de clase, no se debe dejar de lado la preocupación por el carácter humano de los estudiantes: sus miedos, expectativas, sueños y motivaciones. El BYOD se suma a la larga lista de tendencias que están revolucionando el método de edu-cación tradicional, fomentando el aprendizaje y el trabajo colaborativo, apoyando el uso de nuevas herramientas digitales.

Enter the Kalabia with a mission and strategy to engage communities, and most of all youth, in their islands’ future and precious resources. This has involved working with tribal councils and clans who have ownership claims extend-ing from land to reefs and also backing up the educational work with traditional and govern-mental legislation. A network of six large marine protected areas (MPAs) have been developed in Raja Ampat to help manage and protect the rich local oceans.

El pasado 20 de marzo del 2018, los alumnos de la Licenciatura en Idiomas celebraron el día internacional de la Francofonía.Éste es un evento que se lleva a cabo cada año, en el cual los estudiantes de la licenciatura realizan una feria con diversos stands en donde presentan juegos y actividades dedicados

francesa.De igual manera, se encargan de brindar una deliciosa degustación de algunos de los platillos más típicos de Francia. Entre ellos se pudieron destacar el “Ratatouille”, “quiché”, pequeños croissants” y “pain au chocolat”.El día internacional de la Francofonía es una fecha celebrada en todo el mundo, por todos los países y personas que hablan el idioma francés.

Feria del Día del Traductor

Algunas de las actividades más destaca-bles de este gran evento fueron: Guess the movie, actividad llevada a cabo por los alumnos de primer semestre en la que los participantes tenían que escuchar el diálo-go de una escena al azar de una película para posteriormente adivinar de qué película se trataba.

Los alumnos de tercer semestre también hicieron un gran trabajo al realizar una trivia que ponía a prueba los conocimien-tos de sus participantes sobre los temas de pop culture, traducción, interpretación, ciencias naturales e historia.

Respecto a los alumnos de quinto semes-tre, tuvieron la interesante idea de realizar un rally con obstáculos los cuales ponían a prueba las habilidades y agilidad de quienes se animaban a participar en su actividad.

Séptimo semestre no se quedó atrás con su actividad de headbands. Esta se jugaba en parejas, uno debía de ponerse una carta en la frente y el otro, haciendo señas, debía hacer que su compañero adivinase lo que estaba escrito en dicha tarjeta. Una actividad bastante divertida muy al estilo Ellen Degeneres.

“And last but not least”, los alumnos de noveno semestre, para cerrar con broche de oro su última participación como alum-nos de la Licenciatura en Idiomas en el I.E.S.T., propusieron como actividad el “tra-ductor loco”, actividad que también se realizaba en parejas; uno se ponía detrás de la �gura del traductor y tenía que con-testar preguntas de cultura general; si contestaba tres preguntas mal, este era bañado en espuma por su compañero, y si contestaba cinco preguntas bien al hilo, se ganaba un delicioso, suculento, exquisito “pulparindo”.

Durante el transcurso de las actividades, se hizo un pequeño break en el que el coordi-nador de la carrera, Daniel Bustos Márquez, llevó a cabo la premiación de la tercera edición del concurso Game of Tradux. Fue muy grato ver que dos alumnos de tercer semestre, Juan Antonio Soublette Revuelta y Mayda Yaritna Elizalde Lamas, ganaron las categorías de traducción literaria y traducción técnica respectivamente, ¡Enhorabuena, futuros traductores!

Nos sentimos realmente agradecidos y satisfechos por el esfuerzo y dedicación que los alumnos mostraron durante este evento, estando seguros que el próximo año superarán nuestras expectativas.

On the 28th of September of the current year, the students of the I.E.S.T. degree in languages from the �rst to the ninth semester had the opportunity to organize one of the most outstanding events that the career has had since it was founded: The Translator's Day. In which, several activities related to the culture of di�er-ent countries were carried out making use of the di�erent languages that the students learn during their studies in the career, in order to create a diverse cultural environment in which everyone could �nd a space full of knowledge and languages. Some of the most outstanding activities of this great event were: “Guess the movie”, an activity carried out by �rst semester students in which the participants had to listen to the dialogue of a random scene from a �lm in order to later guess which �lm it was.

Third semester students also did a great job by performing a trivia that tested their participants' knowledge of pop culture, translation, interpretation, natural scienc-es, and history.

Regarding the �fth semester students, they had the interesting idea of carrying out a rally with obstacles which put to test the skills and agility of those who were encouraged to participate in their activity.

Seventh semester did a headbands activity.

This was played in pairs, one had to put a card on the forehead and the other, waving, had to make his partner guess what was written on the card. A rather fun activity very Ellen DeGeneres style.

And last but not least, the students of the ninth semester, to close their last partici-pation as students of the Degree in Lan-guages in the I. E. S. T. with a golden �nale, they proposed as an activity the "crazy translator", an activity that was also carried out in pairs; one stood behind the �gure of the translator and had to answer questions of general culture; if he answered three questions badly, this one was bathed in foam by his companion, and if he answered �ve questions well in a row, he earned a delicious "pulparindo".

During the course of the activities, a small break was made in which the coordinator, Daniel Bustos Márquez, carried out the awarding of the third edition of the Game of Tradux contest. It was very gratifying to see that two third semester students, Juan Antonio Soublette Revuelta and Mayda Yaritna Elizalde Lamas, won the catego-ries of literary translation and technical translation respectively. Congratulations, future translators!

We feel really grateful and satis�ed for the e�ort and dedication that the students showed during this event, being sure that next year they will exceed our expectations.
