Durability Thermal Flex standard and custom hoses have a useful life that is far superior to typical organic rubber materials.

Extreme Temperature Resistance Thermal Flex silicone hoses consistently outperform organic (black rubber or EPDM) hoses to high temperatures of 350° and 500°F when reinforced with polyester or Nomex™ fabric. Even under extreme conditions the silicone hose will retain excellent tensile strength, elongation, and tear & abrasion resistance.

Low Temperature Flexibility Our silicone hose can maintain dynamic flexibility to temperatures as low as -65°F.

Compression Set Resistance Thermal Flex silicone hose is superior to other elastomers in resistance to compression set or deformation, particularly at high and low temperatures. This is particularly important when a silicone rubber part is used in a bellows application where the component is placed under pressure or is flexed.

Chemical Resistance Thermal Flex silicone hose has excellent resistance to many common chemicals, fluids and oils. Such as Citric Acid , Heavy Water, Water Solution Detergent, Ethylene Glycol (anti-freeze), Vegetable Oil, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, 3 mole Methanol, Natural Gas, Cold Oxygen, Vegetable Oil, and Water Zinc Salts.

Weather & Ozone Resistance Thermal Flex silicone hose substantially resists the deteriorating effects of sunlight, ozone, rain water, and atmospheric gases, that cause weathering. Even in a very dry environment combined with harsh sunlight our silicone hose will perform well. Silicone rubber is noted for its water resistance. It has an extremely low degree of water absorption and its mechanical properties show minimal change, even after long periods of immersion.

Odorless & Tasteless Silicone hoses do not contain sulfur or other acid producing chemicals that generate out-gassing. Hoses won’t stain or corrode other materials and do not support the growth of molds or bacteria.

Color Choices Blue, Red, & Black, with Glossy or Matte finish. Custom colors are available upon request.

Complex Shapes Incredibly complex shapes can be made; multi-bend geometry, spigots, etc.

Safety Warning Failure to consider how temperature and other conditions affect hose performance could result in death personal injury or

property damage. As temperature increases or decreases, burst pressure, safe working pressure, coupling retention

properties, and other safety characteristic of the hose can significantly decrease. Deterioration due to wear, impulse, and

other environmental conditions should also be considered. The user, through its own analysis and testing, is solely

responsible for making the final selection of the hose and assuring that all performance, endurance, maintenance, safety

and warning requirements of the application are met.

Custom Engineered Silicone Hose

Custom Hose Program

Manufacturing a custom hose is a time intensive process that can require as many

as 9 hours of labor per part. An initial order amount of approximately $250 is

required in addition to setup costs.

Lead Time

Typically, a custom formed part requires 3-4 weeks to manufacture. Production lead

times vary based on complexity and quantity. Upon placing a purchase order

Thermal Flex will provide an acknowledgement with the expected delivery date.

Setup Charge

A setup charge is assessed to new custom formed parts for engineering and tooling

costs. A mandrel is created based on specifications and a finished hose sample is

delivered to the customer for approval. All mandrels are the property of Thermal

Flex, however your company owns exclusive rights to production from the tools.

Thermal Flex 4 ply High performance Silicone Radiator Hose is polyester reinforced with

four plies and a temperature range of -65°F to 350°F. These hoses are available in BLUE,

BLACK, and RED with a GLOSSY finish. These radiator hoses meet and exceed

requirements of SAE J20 class A, TMC RP 303B class, and most OEM manufacturer’s

specifications.

Sanitary Hose


Thermal Flex T-Bolt Clamps feature all 300 series stainless steel bands and trunnions with

zinc plated bolts and locknuts. These clamps are ideal for high pressure, high

performance applications. Clamps come with a standard band width of .75 inches and

a maximum torque rating of 90 inch-lbs. Additional sizes are available upon request.
